This project was inspired by Git Awards! Since it apparently isn't supported anymore we thought we'd take the concept back and add our own touch to it.

This was made in couple weeks as an exercise in the context of an internship.

Installation

Fork project, then clone it
cp .php-cs-fixer.dist.php .php-cs-fixer.php
cp .env .env.local
Edit credentials on .env.local file
Run containers : docker-compose up -d
composer install
yarn && yarn build
Create database : php bin/console doctrine:database:create
Execute migrations : php bin/console doctrine:migrations:migrate
Execute languages fixtures : php bin/console doctrine:fixtures:load --groupe=partial
Setup queues : php bin/console messenger:setup-transports

Need to add `language` as a in the Top Users list

Hey @pgrimaud , Hope you're doing well. First, thanks for this awesome project. I think it would be better if you add a Language filter on the Top Users page, then people can find out the most popular users in the language.

No avatar update on image share option

I noticed that my card still shows my avatar from last year, while my page on git-stars.com displays my new avatar.

After some fast digging I realized that the user template actually gets the image's url from github thanks to the user's ID:

While the image generated to share our stats used an avatar saved locally on the server:

Maybe a system to replace the images after a while would be a nice addition, or maybe we should fetch and store the user's avatar when the user is updated.
