Description

Added support to load the registered Serializers from the serializers config key. Currently this is only supported in Module.php when using Laminas MVC.

Changed this to the format as in other components are build such as the FilterPluginManagerFactory in laminas/laminas-log.

Change is fully backwards compatible and now more in line with the other Laminas components.

Added sections: documentation with additional links and usage with a simple example.

Release notes for 2.10 mentioned support for PHP8, but composer.json file was not modified.

Current behavior

File composer.json still requires PHP ^5.6 || ^7.0.

How to reproduce

Try install this package with PHP8.

Expected behavior

Update composer.json file by changes mentioned in release notes.

Only protocols ~2 and 3~ 0/1/2/3 are currently supported.

Description

With this PR laminas/laminas-serializer runs under PHP 8.1. It updates several dependencies to allow compatibility especially with laminas/laminas-coding-style. This results in quite a few changes code style improvements and better code quality.

~As this PR also adds return types & type hints to several classes this might be considered as a breaking change. Those changes are also listed in the newly added CHANGELOG.md.~ BCs like return types & type hints for library sources are not part anymore (I left those in tests as those shouldn't be a concern of changes of signatures).

The function wddx_serialize_value does not work with PHP 7.4 or later.

Summary

As decided during the Technical-Steering-Committee Meeting on August 3rd, 2020, Laminas wants to implement vimeo/psalm in all packages.

Implementing psalm is quite easy.

• [ ] Copy and paste the contents from this psalm.xml.dist
• [ ] Run $ composer require vimeo/psalm
• [ ] Run $ vendor/bin/psalm --set-baseline=psalm-baseline.xml
• [ ] Add a composer script static-analysis with the command psalm --shepherd --stats
• [ ] Add a new line to script: in .travis.yml: - if [[ $TEST_COVERAGE == 'true' ]]; then composer static-analysis ; fi
• [ ] Remove phpstan from the project (phpstan.neon.dist, .travis.yml entry, composer.json require-dev and scripts)

• [ ] Fix as many psalm errors as possible.
