dd is a helper method in Laravel. This package will add the dd to your application.
Run composer require larapack/dd 1.*
Laravel already have the dd function in its helpers. The dd function from this package is equal to the one in Laravel 5.
If you wish to override the Laravel 4 function with this one, please follow those few steps:

If the content-type is set to json or something that's not rendered as html by the browser, this doesn't work so well. header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8'); in d and dd would work better. I cannot right now think of a scenario where this shouldn't be done. Others may know better.
No need for call_user_func_array since we are simply var_dumping and not supplying a custom user made function. func_get_args can also be inlined since there is no re-use nor really a case not to shorten it this way.
You can now use d if you do not wish to die afterwards using the d function helper.
