My instance: https://search.ahwx.org doesn't show results. Is this a problem with my firewall? I haven't changed anything in my DNS and Cloudflare proxy settings.

https://search.madreyk.xyz But the search for images, videos and torrents works. I find that the https://search.ahwx.org/ instance also didn't work as well. If I switch branch to the revert-6-main, everything is works, so I won't update just yet.

When you seach and there's a special result from wikipedia, it blocks half the page, to where there's only search results, I've fixed it by moving it to the right of the search results. On the index.php page (and settings), when you hover over the buttons, it moves the other button to the side a bit.

This pull request changes the following:

• Adds autocompletion following the OpenSearch standard
• Fixes the "drag and drop" search, this is done by changing the request from POST to GET. More info on the videos below

If you need something to be changed/explained please let me know.

I noticed a XSS vulnerability within a file. Don't want to create a public PR or point to the issue in public without permission, how would you prefer me to communicate the issue?

On a tangential note, I came across this project after encountering this reddit thread. This thread also relevant.

In the first thread the poster states:

We are working together with LibreX to improve and make this browser an alternative and strong solution before seax, searxng, Google etc, this is beta 1 but we will be working on many more changes.

Is that correct? From my perspective they seem to have taken your project, tweaked it, added their own donation links, and hosted it without providing any attribution back to the original contributors. Just wanted to give them the benefit of doubt before assuming they are lying but, as per my comments in those threads, there's a lot of red flags in my opinion.

Title says it all. Is this feasible within your front-end? As in, make searches and find them based on selected country regions/languages while not requiring Javascript? If not, feel free to disregard it. Whoogle has got me covered in that anyway. :+1:

This is it before. The images don't line up, there's only three per line, and it's just generally inconsistent.

This is it after. It's got more images per line, better lined up, and looks a lot nicer.

I've made a few UI changes on this instance. If you want to view the changes, there's a tar.gz file here that you can compare with something like diff.

I made and released a simple Addon for Firefox that will install LibreX (on domain - https://librex.beparanoid.de/ ) as the primary search engine.

If it is possible to add a mention of this addon in the README, I would be very happy.

I don't like to store cookies of any kind; thus selecting Light theme in Settings is not an option for me.

Theme can be selected though query parameter, e.g. https://librex.beparanoid.de/search.php?q=librex&theme=light, which doesn't rely on cookies.

Unfortunately, that query parameter is stripped away when going to the second page of search results, choosing to search for images etc.
