Numerous Mobile Issues (primary=srcset)
opened by RickHorowitz 0Apologies in advance if I'm doing this wrong. I don't really know much about GitHub; it's on my list of things to learn.
After two weeks of struggling with Grigora Blocks, and installing some updates, it mostly is working for me just fine.
The exception has to do with mobile devices with small screens (e.g., iPhones). Although I've set some rows to allow changing orientation, they don't. Not even if I hand-code a stylesheet to make them do so. Not sure what's up there.
Also, though the code shows there's a srcset created with a small-screen image, the image that is loading into the Cover used is the large one. I can override that with my own code, but I'm thinking that's a kludge/hack, and I shouldn't be doing that.
Lastly, for now, it would be nice if there was an option where you could have margins removed (or changed) according to whether the viewport was really small, or not. (I do like the addition of the css styles area for a lot of blocks that just showed up for me today. It actually caused me to completely start over on my design, to get things out of my stylesheet.)
There are some other issues, but these are the biggest. (Attached screenshots show another issue: in the Editor, these two areas have different sizes of backgrounds, even though they both belong to identical groups with identical settings; in the staging (e.g., "the actual page") version, they're identical. When things are off on BOTH Editor and "actual page," it becomes very confusing trying to fix things.
I'm beginning to like Grigora Blocks.
